Follow these steps, to make sure your mail goes to your new address:

  1. Start by registering your new address with Skatteverket. It is mandatory and free of charge. Your registered address is forwarded to various authorities and companies. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Migration Agency, CSN and major banks and insurance companies are some examples.

2. Get in touch with the companies you usually receive mail from and announce your new address.

3. Get a digital mailbox, such as Kivra, Digimail or e-Boks. Then you will get a large part of your mail digitally.

You can also forward your mail at adressändring.se. It costs SEK 598 for 12 months (299 if you are a student or under 26 years of age). This should not be necessary if you complete step 1–3 above though.
