ROT deduction is a tax deduction for renovation, maintenance and reconstruction. If you are entitled to ROT deduction, you pay 70 % of the labour cost.

RUT deduction is a tax deduction for household services, such as move help and cleaning. If you are entitled to RUT deduction, you only pay 50 % of the labour cost.

It is only the labour cost that gives the right to ROT and RUT deduction. Materials and other costs, such as travel costs, in connection with the work, do not give the right to a deduction.

The maximum amount for RUT and ROT deduction is 75 000 kronor per year and person (of which a maximum of 50 000 can be ROT deduction).
